Recommended Add-On: Hi-Tech Protection Plan

Your security system is only valuable if it works when you need it.

Cameras can go offline. Recorders can stop saving video. Remote viewing can break after internet or router changes. Old employee codes can stay active. Most customers do not find out until after something happens.

The Hi-Tech Protection Plan keeps your cameras, alarm, access control, and network-related security systems checked, documented, and supported.

Plan benefits may include:

  • Priority service scheduling
  • Camera / NVR / DVR health checks
  • Recording and storage review
  • Remote viewing / app support when practical
  • Alarm and access-control review where applicable
  • Access user/code cleanup where applicable
  • Wi-Fi / network reliability review where applicable
  • Written condition notes after inspections
  • Discounted repair / upgrade labor

Common plan options:

  • Home Basic — draft: $29/month
  • Home Plus — draft: $59/month
  • Business Essential — draft: $99/month
  • Business Pro — draft: $199/month

Exact plan depends on number of cameras, doors, devices, locations, support expectations, and whether remote access is available.

Important: Parts, replacement equipment, new cabling, major upgrades, monitoring fees, and extended onsite labor are quoted separately unless specifically included in the final approved plan.

Proposal Insert — Short Version

Optional monthly support:

Hi-Tech Protection Plan — priority scheduling, system health checks, remote-viewing help when practical, camera/recorder review, access-control review where applicable, and discounted repair/upgrade labor.

Draft pricing starts at $29/month residential and $99/month business. Final plan depends on the system size and support needs.

One-Line Estimate Add-On

Recommended: Hi-Tech Protection Plan — keeps your cameras, recorder, remote viewing, access control, and network-related security systems checked and supported after installation. Draft plans start at $29/month residential and $99/month business.

Sales Talking Points

  • “Most people only check cameras after something happens. That is too late.”
  • “This is like maintenance for the system you already paid to install.”
  • “The goal is not to sell unnecessary service. The goal is to catch recorder, camera, app, access-code, and network problems before they become expensive.”
  • “If the system is simple, keep the plan simple. If the business depends on footage or access control, use the business plan.”

Dad Approval Checklist

Before this goes into real quotes, Dad should approve or edit:

  • [ ] Plan names
  • [ ] Monthly prices
  • [ ] Included visit frequency
  • [ ] Remote-check wording
  • [ ] Labor discount percentages
  • [ ] After-hours / emergency support rules
  • [ ] Whether footage export help is included or billed separately
  • [ ] Whether access-code/user admin is included or limited
  • [ ] Billing/cancellation language
  • [ ] Whether to offer all four tiers or start with only Business Essential + Business Pro

Recommendation

Start simple:

  1. Add the short proposal insert to new commercial camera/access/network quotes.
  2. Offer only Business Essential and Business Pro first.
  3. Keep Home Basic/Home Plus as optional residential upsells, not the main push.
  4. Track every quote as: Protection Plan offered / accepted / declined.

This gives Hi-Tech a recurring-revenue lane without making promises that are hard to support.
